Opening Week this year was a return to the theme of “Heroic Beginnings” as GMSers, old and new, joined together to explore their virtues that are going to make for a great school year. Mixed groups of 6’s, 7’s, & 8’s worked, played, laughed, and learned about each other and our super middle school. Among the highlights of the week were a visit from Canadian Olympian, Ryan Cochrane, who inspired us with his story of hard work and perseverance. And of course, no Heroic Beginning would be complete with our triennial Chariot Race of the Gods!
