It’s June and the GMS Music Programme has been tuning up all year to show how good middle schoolers can sound when cacophony is given direction. A huge “Thank you” to Ms. McDermid & Mr. Barmby who have stepped in to fill Mr. Lienard’s shoes in his absence, and to Ms. Fisher who continues to make magic happen with our Strings groups. Their direction had the gym rocking to favourites like “Take Me On” and “YMCA”, and had all the groups playing like professionals. This was also the last concert for our grade 8’s who have, in just 3 years, graduated from Grade 6 Instrument Zoo to accomplished players. Well done, 8s.
