A big lead early turned into desperation around their goal as the Staff held on to win this year’s edition of the Golden Boot Soccer Challenge, 7-5, over the Senior Girls’ Soccer Team. Leads of 3-0, 4-1, and 5-2 seemed to be insurmountable until the final shifts when old legs got heavier allowing the girls to storm back. With the score 6-5, and the girls pressing a lucky break released Mr. ‘MVP’ Pite for a late dagger that put a cap on another thrilling game.
